Tea Oatmeal

We all love a cup of hot tea and a bowl of hearty oatmeal for breakfast. I mean, is there any better way to start the day? Well guess what, now there is! How about combining those two loves in to one super breakfast!

Chai Five

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Steel Cut Oat Blend (I used Rogers)

  • 2 cups steeped tea 

  • 1 cup milk (or milk substitute)

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 3 tsp cinnamon (and more for garnish)

  • 1 granny smith apple - peeled and chopped

Directions

  1. Add oats, cinnamon, brown sugar and cut up apple pieces to a small saucepan.

  2. Pour in milk and steeped tea.

  3. Bring to a boil on a stove top.

  4. Reduce heat and cook uncovered for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
